Another Paradigm Shift - My Initial Impressions of the English Countryside

  • The cars are smaller.
  • Everyone drives on the wrong side of the road.
  • The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.
  • As a passenger, sitting on the left side, I keep wanting to press the brake pedal (it's not there).
  • I know where the concept of "cheers" came from (everyone one is so, well, "cheer-ful")
  • I know where Abu Dhabi got all it's bloody round-abouts from.
  • Man it's cold!
  • The little shops in this small town of 100k people are just adorable.
  • They have KFC, Subway, Burger King, and Mickey D's.
  • "Petrol" is about $6 a gallon (so quit complaining).
  • But that's the reason for the first bullet.
More to come.
